Updated Patio Set

Happy Easter!!

Amidst the spring time weddings, registering for our own, and the Easter holiday, we're busy with several spring time projects. One is finished just in time to enjoy our patio for grilling season in this perfect southern spring weather!

I am so thankful to have my Meemaw's patio set for our back porch...wrought iron furniture is so expensive! It was originally a hunter green color, as you can see here.

Before:

I used Rustoleum primer and a metallic charcoal gray spray paint, about 5 cans, to paint the tables and chairs. This project would not have been possible if it wasn't for the spray paint nozzle I finally decided to buy (only a few bucks) and it was a life saver! It clips onto the top of any spray paint can and lets you squeeze a nozzle like a water hose sprayer instead of totally numbing one finger.

AFTER:

I got the chair pads from TJ Maxx. I'm still toying with the idea of painting the flower details a bright contrasting color, but I haven't decided yet.

The metallic paint has a little bit of sparkle and looks great in the sunlight.

I love it so much more already!

Happy grilling:)

XOXO, Katie

  1. Very nice! I have enjoyed seeing your house become a home!! (I keep thinking I will invest in one of those spray can thingies too!)Oh and I think you should paint the flowers. They deserve the "Katie" touch...I didn't know your meemaw but I bet she would think everything you've done to her stuff is fabulous!
